About this software: • The LX Event software must be installed on the hard disk of your computer. • No other Windows programs should be running when you install the software. For all updates: We highly recommend that you back up your patient directory - c:\nm\patients - and save a copy of c:\nm\lxevent on your computer before proceeding with the installation. For updates from 2.08 and earlier installations: Before proceeding, contact NorthEast Technical support for assistance in updating to version 2.11. Install the LX Event software: Insert disk labelled “LX Event” into your computer, and open the DVD drive to view the directory. Double-click on LX_Event_Install executable file to install the software. This install may include other programs such as NemonPDF writer, Adobe PDF and a Windows application. As required, click on prompts where appropriate and let the system default during the installation and reboot if requested. For all installations (new license required for version 2.11): • Now Insert the License file disk onto your computer. Open the folder/directory and click on the License file. This will install the license file. • Plug the HASP software key into an available port on your computer. For new installations only: You can load a set of sample data for learning or demonstrating the system. With the LX Event software closed, double-click on the Sample_Patients executable found on the installation disk under “Utilities”. Restoring Custom Files: There are 3 files that have been saved in the back up folder that you may want to copy to the current c:\nm directories. They are: • The Physician Directory c:\nm\LXEvent\Physicians\NMPhysicians.ndb • The report logo - c:\nm\LXEvent\PrintSpec\logo.jpg • The report header - c:\nm\LXEvent\ServiceAddressHeader.ini For TIU installations only: • Install the National Instrument software found on our web-site at http://www.nemon.com/supportfiles/NIDAQ1511f1.exe • Plug the USB cable from the Telephone Interface Unit (TIU) into your computer and let the system install its software. The LX Event disk may have to be in the machine during the installation. • Now plug the wire from your telephone network into the plug labelled “Line” in the back of the TIU. You can also plug the microphone into the front of the TIU for local recording purposes. • Re-boot the computer to ensure all devices and software are registered. • Test TIU by clicking the “Phone Rec” button on the LX Event screen. If a line starts to appear across the screen, it is working
